This April fitness has been on my mind. Getting to the gym for weight training every week and also bumping up my running schedule in preparation for the 500 Mile American Indian Spiritual Marathon that I'll be a part of in June. 

The 500 Mile Run is a 5 day run where our team covers 100 miles a day in a relay style. This is my first year as a runner (I don't count my brief stint in high school) and I'm excited about the progress I've made! I'm really looking forward to running with my team and spreading our message that "All Life is Sacred".

Did you know I do custom lettering in addition to illustration? You probably do if you've seen my illustrated maps and recipes! Here's a piece I just finished that's pure script.

By the way, if you didn't know, an "unplugged wedding" is a new trend where couples are politely forbidding electronics at their weddings so guests are present instead of staring into their devices as they take photos and tweet the event. I think it's a great idea!

It's not an April Fool's joke, this actually happened to an unsuspecting teen who later wrote into M Magazine to share her "eww gross" moment! This illo is featured in this month's April issue of M Magazine. I loved making the pigeons look a little smug!

This illo I created for Philadelphia Weddings Magazine was for an article entitled "Bachelorette Bashes for Every Bride-to-be".

From left to right each set of legs represents a different bride's personality, sporty, romantic, girly and domestic. I thought ALL of the suggestions for party themes were great! Bowling party, private lingerie party, spa-ahh day and personalized cooking lesson all sound fun to me!

Since it's my birthday week I wanted to share something new with you every day of this week!

Here's a recent illustration I did for a client that wasn't picked up. The theme was summer outdoor parties. I just love the carefree vibe in this illo! Reminds me of getting together with my best friends from college, laughing and catching up poolside...
